Berkswell & Balsall Rugby Football Club (BBRFC) was founded by Les and Steve Edwards in 1981. From modest beginnings, the club has progressed and grown to fielding two regular teams, as well as a Veterans team. After much fund raising, the club bought its current grounds on the outskirts of Balsall Common in 1998.

 

Due to a lack of funding, club members raised the funds through events and donations, as well as volunteering their manual skills to build the current clubhouse. The build of the clubhouse took place in the space of a weekend - an achievement of which the Club is justifiably proud.

In 2023, BBRFC had the opportunity to purchase the land adjacent to the rear of the Club to allow the club to expend and offer a more space for training, games and events
